I am a photographer living and working in Minneapolis. I received an MFA from UC San Diego in 2005.  I make collaborative large-scale portraits featuring individuals performing unique cultural rituals. My series The Once and Future Queens features photographs of individuals that answered an online ad soliciting older women to pose as glamorous movie stars. The series has been exhibited in solo institutional exhibitions at Musée de la Photographie (Charleroi, Belgium), and Open Eye Gallery (Liverpool) in a show curated by Martin Parr. My monograph, Cuba TV, which includes pictures of TV sets inside Havana living rooms, was published in 2011 by Mark Batty Publishers. I work as a photographer for media publications including Bloomberg Businessweek, The New Yorker, Refinery29, Mpls. St. Paul Magazine, TIME.
